This study aims to asses’ attitude of students’ toward learning physical education: the case of
Burka Secondary School, Burka Town: for this study descriptive survey research design was
employed. Both quantitative and qualitative data were gathered through questionnaire, interview
and observation. The primary data was used for the study and the sample was drown from the
total population of 1204 students accordingly 300 sample students were selected out of this 180
were male and 120 were female students all teachers and school principals were male The data
was collected through administration of questionnaires and the information was analyzed SPSS
version 20 software besides, frequency, percentage and descriptive Statements were used to
analyze the items of the questionnaire. And interview the results were presented and discussed by
categorizing some related questions. Based on the analysis it was found out the current students
of grade 9th -12th (
38.42%) were have positive attitude and the other ( 57.95% ) were have not
good awareness sand mostly developed negative attitude towards learning PE at all The results
researcher found that most of the Buurka secondary school students have negative attitude
towards learning PE and there is lack of facility and equipments PE, teachers were not
encourage students to lean PE, not manage the students not have interest to teach there is poor
very low practical session, all the school principals were not give attention to PE subject the
time allotted per week is not enough Finally, the study recommended that other researchers
conduct a research and work on the improvement of curriculum materials especially with regard
to time and periods of physical education to make it effective, the school communities, the
wereda education expert has to work together to solve the problem of facilities and equipment’s
implementation of PE, in the school and sport fields

Bananas (Musa acuminate) is a high source of carbohydrates, potassium and antioxidants; it is consumed one hour before exercise can be easily digested and quickly absorbed by the body to provide suitable energy for endurance events. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of banana supplement and aerobic exercise on endurance of grade 11 Students at Gursum Secondary School. Experimental study design was employed with pretest and posttest, and 30 students were selected based on inclusion criteria and simple random sampling technique; and divided into three groups randomly. Banana group (BG) and banana with aerobic exercise group (BAEG) consumed 300g of ripen banana per training day, aerobic exercise group (AEG) and banana with the aerobic exercise group (BAEG) were participated in aerobic exercise for 45-60 minutes duration per a day, 3 days per week, for 8 weeks. Data were analyzed by using paired sample T- test for in-group and two-way MANOVA post hoc Tukey multiple comparison analysis for the difference between groups using SPSS version 26 at p< 0.05. First, the finding of the present study results from the pre-test to post-test showed that banana supplement with aerobic exercise, aerobic exercise alone and banana supplement alone treatments result showed significant improvement on endurance of students after eight weeks at P< .05. Finally, the study results multiple comparisons between groups showed that combined group or BAEG mean difference was showed more significant change on endurance components than BG and AEG at P<.05. This study concludes that the banana supplement combined with aerobic exercise had a more significant effect on endurance components of students than banana supplement alone and aerobic exercise alone

EFFECT OF SKIPPING ROPE ON LOWER BODY STRENGTH, SPEED AND CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE AMONG U-15 MALE FOOTBALL PROJECT AKAKI KALITY SUB-CITY, ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA
Magertu Hirpho Dube; Abinet Ayalew (PhD); Desta Enyew (PhD)
This study was conducted to investigate the Effects of skipping rope on U-15 male football projects of, Akaki kality sub-city. To conduct this study the researcher used quasi-experimental research design. Random sampling method was used to select 50players from 100 football players. Exercise programs of skipping rope were performed in a form of training for the experimental group under this study for three consecutive months. The activity was given with the frequency of 3 days per week for 3 months and the duration was 60 minutes per session. The physical fitness variables selected for the study were: Cardiovascular endurance (12 minute test), speed (30m dash run test) and Strength (Standing long jump test). Data were analysed by using paired samples t- test with pair wise comparison of means at 95% confidence interval for both pre and post-test. The results indicated that the mean difference of 12 minute run test is -2.8000 to 369.96, in case of 30m dash run -.2800 to -.8000 as well as for standing long jump -0.03000 to 0.25800 pre, and post-test respectively between experimental and control group. In addition, the t-value and p-value of the three variables indicates that there were significant improvements on three selected physical fitness variables due to the effects of skipping rope exercise training with active rest (p ≤ 0.05). This study confirmed that skipping rope exercise training with active rest was significant to improve the cardiovascular endurance, speed and Strength. Based on the finding the study concluded that as skipping rope exercise have impact on the improvement of selected physical fitness components it is wise to work further on improvement of intensity, skipping rope exercise program should incorporate and encouraged in to training plan and for better improvement players engaged in regular exercise at least three days per week 60 minutes each day
