In developing nations like Ethiopia, poor weight management has become more prevalent
recently. Individuals may differ in their comprehension and implementation of nutritional
knowledge and good eating practices. Numerous well-educated people struggled with weight
control, and little research was done on how dietary practices and nutritional knowledge
affected body weight management. This study was to assess the nutritional knowledge and
dietary habits of fitness program participants and their impact on weight management in
selected Harar fitness center practitioners. An experimental study design was conducted in
selected Harar fitness centers from June 25-Augest 25, 2024. The total sample size of this
study was 247 fitness center participants. A simple random sampling technique was used to
select fitness centers. Enrolling randomly selected fitness center participants in a
selfadministrative, structured questionnaire was used to collect data. Data was entered into
epidata version 4.6 and analyzed by SPSS Version 26.0. Descriptive statistics are used to
describe participants’ background characteristics and the nutritional knowledge and dietary
habits of fitness center participants. From the study, the total response rate was 98%. The
majority of respondents were the ages of 27% (18-24) and 28% (25-30) years. From the
total study participants, 214 (87%) were male and one hundred fifty-seven (64%) with a 95%CI (57.7-71.0%) of the respondents had a normal range body mass index. Harar fitness
center participants have good nutritional knowledge (28.6%) and good dietary habits
(81.6%). In conclusion, the effect of nutritional knowledge and dietary habits on managing
body weight is positive. But in the Harar city fitness center, participants’ nutritional
knowledge and dietary habits were above the mean. We recommended that critical
intervention on nutritional knowledge and dietary habit awareness will be important to
manage body weight. The impact of nutritional knowledge, dietary habits practice, and
physical activity is very important to body weight management practice.

Cardiovascular endurance is a component of physical fitness which plays great role during
exercises. The primary purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of selected types of
aerobic exercise on cardiovascular endurance of students. The study was conducted to improve
cardiovascular endurance on 30 male students of Burka Meta secondary school of Grade 11
students. These thirty male students were assigned as experimental and Control group their age
ranges 18 and 20 years. All subjects participated in selected aerobic exercises for 12 weeks i.e.,
three days per week and 60 minutes duration per day. Pre-test, during training test and post
training test were conducted on physical fitness variables such as step test and 12 minutes run.
The data collected from subjects were analyzed by paired simple t-test to determine the
differences between pre-test and post-test mean value results of the participants of the study. The
mean value for Step Test before training was 51.2 m and 51.1 m for EXGr and CONG and after
training was 67. 1m and 51.7 m for EXGr and CONGr after 12 week training program. The
mean value of pre training tests of twelve minutes run for EXGr and CONGr was 1700 m and
1740 m, and during post-test results of 12 minutes run for EXGr and CONGr were 2284 m and
1753 m were observed. Therefore, the results obtained from the study indicate that there were
significant improvements within 12 minutes run. However, in the case of steps test, a test result
was decreased because of improvement in the performance. So, the findings of the study reveals
different responsible bodies like coaches, sport commission office, education office, school
principals and sport Science teachers should take considerable actions for the improvement of
the Athletics proficiencies of the students as well as others youth

Cardiovascular endurance and reaction time are crucial for health and physical performance.
Strawberry juice supplementation and aerobic exercise have shown potential benefits for
cardiovascular health and cognitive function. The purpose of this study was to investigate the
effects of strawberry juice supplementation and aerobic exercise on the cardiovascular
endurance and reaction time of Third-year sport science students at Oda Bultum University. An
experimental pretest-posttest design was employed. A total of 21 students were included using
census sampling and randomly assigned to three groups: Strawberry Juice Group, Aerobic
Exercise Group, and Aerobic Exercise with Strawberry Juice Group. The Aerobic Exercise
group engaged in 45 minutes of aerobic exercise three times per week for 8 weeks. The Aerobic
Exercise with Strawberry Juice group received both strawberry juice supplementation 500 mL of
strawberry juice (Alang brand) and engaged in aerobic exercise. The Strawberry Juice group
consumed the strawberry juice but did not engage in the Aerobic exercise. Cardiovascular
endurance was assessed via a 12-minute run test, and reaction time was measured using a ruler
drop test. Data were collected at baseline and after the 8-week intervention period. Analysis was
conducted using paired sample t-tests for within-group comparisons and two-way MANOVA
with post hoc Bonferroni multiple comparisons for between-group differences using SPSS
version 26 (p < 0.05). Results showed significant improvements in cardiovascular endurance
and reaction time for all three groups after eight weeks (p < 0.05). Multiple comparisons
between groups revealed that the Strawberry juice with aerobic exercise Group showed more
significant changes in cardiovascular endurance and reaction time compared to the Strawberry
Juice Group and Aerobic exercise Group. In conclusion, the combination of strawberry juice
supplementation and aerobic exercise had a greater positive effect on cardiovascular endurance
and reaction time than either intervention alone among the sport science students
