dc.description.abstract In this thesis, assessment of net radiation dose level of different metal types from Harar, DireDawa towns and Haramaya University were made using EPD and Survey meter. From different construction metal types and kitchen utensils radiation rates were measured to estimate net radiations. The rates were converted to obtain annual doses. Based on EPD data the study revealed that none of the metals or other items showed radiation doses above the recommended limit. Hence this study has to be made using a different more accurate instrument for better results. en_US
