Abstract:
The main aim of this study is analyze the effect of aerobic exercise on health related physical
fitness components in debrework secondary school male’s football project.This study was
conducted on Debre Work town secondary school football projects.The study was carried out
for three consecutive months from (November-January). The first month pre-test and last
mouth post- test has be registered.In Debre Work city there are six football projects including
under seventeen under fifteen and under thirteen.For this study 24 young males football
players with the age 14-17 years old participate the informal experimental design used pre
and posttest without control group. Debre work secondary school football project is taken for
this study b/c the total number of this players are 24 which are easy to manage and their ages
are 14-17 .It used purposive sampling because all the secondary football project players were
the participant's in the training program for the selected study. Quantitative data used to
collect through the appropriate health related physical fitness test measures like push up test
for muscular strength curl up test for muscular endurance 2400m run for cardiovascular
endurance sit and reach test for flexibility body mass index for body composition. Aerobic
exercise improves the performance of health related physical fitness of U- 17 male football
players of Debre work secondary school, which implies that there is highly significant
difference of cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance , flexibility
and body composition between pre and posttest because value of “p” is less than 0.05. 12
week aerobic exercise had positive effect on the improvement of cardio Vascular
endurance,muscular strength ,muscular endurarnce flexibility and body composition. For
better improvement of physical fitness, students should engage in aerobic exercise at least 3
days per week 60 minutes each day. Aerobic exercise had a positive effect on cardio
respiratory fitness. So for the better improvement u-17 football projects should participate in
aerobic exercise.U-17 football project coaches as a means to improve the health related
physical fitness status of football players should encourage aerobic exercises.
