dc.description.abstract Football is the most popular sport in the world. It can be played by young and old, boys and girls elite and physically or mentally challenged and on a smaller or wide field. The main objective of this study was to assess the managerial practices and current status of women football development project in jijiga city. To achieve this objective, the study used random sampling method to select woman football the researcher used both qualitative and quantitative research method,; it was more of descriptive survey. The major finding of this study was the coaches in the jijiga city administration are not well trained, the quality and nature of coaching is poor, the lack of sport wearing, football equipment and facilities. The jijiga city administration youth and sport office doesn’t have monitoring and evaluation for the projects. The total population of the study 84 football project players, 3 coaches and 3 sport officers. From 48 players respondent of this research 15(31.3%) were strongly agree about their coach training management style, 26(54.2%) were agree about their coach training management style and the remaining 7(14.6%) were disagree about their coach training management style. From the total of 48 respondents 23(47.9%) were always assist by their coach in each session, 23(47.9%) were sometimes assist by their coach in each session and the remaining 2(4.25) were not assist by their coach in each session. Based on the findings the following recommendations were suggested the coaches who are assigned in the projects must be qualified. coaches should have to identify the talent of the female players, players must strictly follow up there train session with great proficiency, the offices are expected to arrange and supply basic needs to the projects like pure water, training field, technical aids and prepare additional training to the existing coaches and the players parent should have a good awareness about the importance of football their children, and themselves. en_US
