Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of a 12-weeks aerobic exercise on
improving health-related physical fitness components of Tepo Coroke Elementary school
female students. To accomplish this 25 (twenty-five) female students were selectedby
stratified sampling techniques from Tepo Coroke ElementarySchool and their age from
14-16 years. The study design was quasi experimental research design. All selected
subjects were participated in moderate intensity aerobic exercise for 12 consecutive
weeks. I.e.3 days per week for 40-60-minute duration. Pre and post training tests were
conducted on the components of health-related physical fitness variables. The data
pertaining to health-related physical fitness components were analyzed by paired sample
‘t’ test by the help of SPSS version 20 to determine the difference between pre and post
mean for participants. The result obtained in this study indicated that there was
significant improvement on cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, muscular
strength, flexibility, and BMI, and body weight only were reduced. Based on this
finding,it can be concludedaerobic exercise has effect on improvement of health related
physical fitness components of female students. Finally based on the results of finding it
is recommended that female students need to participate in aerobic exercise to promote
their health related physical fitness.
