Abstract:
The study was conducted to investigate the Effects of Selected Exercise on Health Related
Physical Fitness of Male Students in Case of Bedessa Secondary and Preparatory School .
The researcher use quasi experimental research design. Sixty male students from Bedessa secondary
and preparatory school were purposively selected as study subjects and their age range was 16-19
years with average age 17.3 years. All Selected subjects were participated in selected exercise for 12
consecutive weeks, i.e.3 days per week 60 minutes duration per day. Pre and post training tests were
conducted on cardiovascular, muscular endurance and flexibility. The data collected from the study
subject were analyzed using computerized statistical package software for social science (SPSS)
version 20. The data pertaining to health-related physical fitness components were analyzed by
compare mean the difference between initial and final mean of subjects .According to analyzed data
mean difference value boosted in push up performance by 12.53 after 12 weeks aerobic exercise. But in
resting heart rate and exercise heart rate 5.04 and 5 decrements were observed throughout the study
period respectively. The result obtained in this study indicated that there were significant
improvements in cardiovascular endurance, flexibility and muscular endurance but in the case of heart
rate there was reduction. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that aerobic exercise and
stretching has positive effect on improvement of cardiovascular, flexibility and muscular endurance of
the subjects. The researcher recommended that to be beneficiary from aerobic exercises in all
dimensions of aspects the exercise training program needs to be guided by physical education expert in
life long term
