dc.description.abstract The main purpose of this study is to find out major factors that affecting the football performance as function of quality training in Silk-Amba football team. To conduct this research cross-sectional research design both quantitative and qualitative methods were employed. The study, was used a census sampling technique, because it took all the target population of the study into account. The study has included all the Silk-Amba football team players, coaches and technical manager. Because, they are directly concerned with issues and all of them were included in this study. The target total population of this study is 35. From this target total population of the study 32 are athletes, while 2, 1 was coaches and technical manager respectively. The researcher were used questionnaire, interview, observation and document analysis as data gathering tools. In order to get sufficient information related to the problem under the study, the researcher were used the primary as well as secondary data sources. The quantitative data obtained through questionnaires were analysed and interpreted by using descriptive statistics with the help of statistical package for social science (SPSS) version 20. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the quantitative data. The qualitative data obtained through interview, observation and document analysis was interpreted by words. Major findings of the study are concerned, lack of adequate training facilities and equipment, lack of skilled and well-trained football coaches, lack of inappropriate training, lack of collaboration and integration between coaches, players and concerned bodies. Finally, from these findings the study recommends that, the sport office leaders and other responsible bodies should give emphases to their team to accommodate and supply facilities and equipment for the training, the Zonal sport commission, Woreda sport office and other responsible bodies must be given in organizing the training of football team coaches to improve the coaching qualification of coaches. Moreover, the coaches must prepare the training program and schedule to carry out their task effectively and efficiently. Additionally, the Woreda sport office and coaches should effectively carry out a well-organized recruitment and selection criteria to assure the quality of training. en_US
