dc.description.abstract |
The major purpose of this research was to assess the challenge of female students in
learning physical education class in Atsbi secondary, Haykemesahal secondary and Dera
secondary schools. The total population of the study were 1320 and 35 sections the
researcher selected seven sections grade 9 (nine) from16 sections and eight sections from
grade 10 (ten) out of 19 sections. The 15 sections and 200 (15.8%) female students are
selected by using random simple technique. Also the researcher used 6 PE teachers and 3
school principals by using purposive sampling technique. The source of data was
obtained by primary data. Data collected from the participant were analyzed using tables
and interpreted by means of both qualitative and quantitative analysis method. Some of
the major findings include the majority of female students in the sample schools have less
interest to participate physical education class, motivation on the side of, physical
education teachers, school and family background. Cultural, female student personal
Biological, school, PE teacher Economical, physical and physiological factors are major
factors that hinder the participation of female students during physical education class.
The researcher was used different instruments in order to gather data such as
questionnaires, interviews and observation. |
