Abstract:
This study was conducted with the objective of evaluating selected type of football technique
on the different performance efficiency of Nedjo secondary school male student of grade tenth.
From Nedjo secondary school student of grade ten were selected by simple random sampling
technique as a study subject and two PE teachers were selected by availability for interviewed
data gathering. In addition, data was collected from forty experimental groups of students via
technique test as pre and posttest were conducted on technique variable such as dribble with
inside of the foot, short pass, chest receive, and shooting on penalty area. The data collected
from selected subject were analyzed by SPSS version 20 software. The data pertaining with
technique of football were analyzed by paired T-test to determine the difference between initial
and final mean of participants. The comparison of pre and post-test result showed that, the
students’ technique performance was improved during post test. Their pre-test mean value for
dribbling is, 3.68±1.02 passing 4.58±1.083 receiving 5.60 ±1.105 and shooting 4.85±1.137.
Whereas their post tests dribbling, 6.43±1.482 passing 6.93±1.118 receiving, 7.20±1.091 and
shooting 6.53 ±1.132 during post-test. Finally, based on findings from result the students
performance was enhanced during post test and conclusion was drawn as the student can
improve their performance and active participation in learning football techniques if the
lesson program was structured and organized efficiently and effectively . the recommendation
given by the researcher were time allocation and class size were suited for PE, effective
methods and strategies was applied by PE teachers, all concerning bodies are participate in creating appropriate teaching-learning environment for PE, foundation of students football
club and competition program in the school.
