dc.description.abstract This study aimed to investigate and identify the Factors Affecting Students’ Attitude Towards Learning Physical Education: In Case Of Tulu Chukala Secondary School, Adulala Town, East Shewa Zone, Oromia Regional State. For this study, descriptive survey method was designed; both quantitative and qualitative data were gathered through questionnaire, interviews and observation. The primary data was used for the study and the sample was drawn from the population 642, 178 students and 2 PE teachers were selected by simple random sampling and availability sampling method respectively. The close-ended questionnaires of students’ were analyzed with five points likert’s scales types. Mixed questionnaires and interviews were conducted with PE teachers. The collected questionnaires were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean value and standard deviation. The observation was conducted on the practical session of physical education class. In the analysis result, the researcher found that, there is the problem of fulfilling the facilities and materials in PE, some of students have a negative attitude on the PE subject, there is no suitable practical training field, there is no more practical session, the PE teachers have also the problem of manage the students and there is no good relationship between PE teacher and students. Therefore, fulfilling the facilities and equipment of teaching PE, creating the good relationship between PE teacher and students, adding the period allotment per week, making suitable practical training field and the PE teacher should have followed by the school principals from time to time are the way and means of developing positive attitude towards learning PE. en_US
