Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate Factors Affecting Classroom Management in
Physical Education Class. Primary and secondary sources were employed on the ground that
it helps the researcher to gather information and opinion from the total population (1200).
The study was used random sampling method to gather information from a large number of
respondents. Data was collected through questionnaire and observation. 2 subject teachers
and 300 students were involved in the study. From the 302 samples, 169 males, and 133
female respondents participated in the giving data. The data collected were organized,
analyzed, tabulated, and interpreted by using frequency, percentage, and descriptive
statement analysis. Hence, the major identified problems were insufficient time, school
environment; inadequacy of instructional resources and facilities, lack of comfortable
playground, problem of large class size, lack of motivation and encouragement to students.
According to observation and the majority of teachers and students the major disciplinary
problems were late coming students, lack of taking attendance, less interest of students to
learn, unlike teacher’s method of teaching, lack of respecting and student’s enrollments. The
researcher recommends that teachers need to spend much of their time on setting rules and
procedures by participation of students and administrators rather than only during the
beginning of the new academic year. The researcher recommended that the principal of the
school, subject teachers as well as students and parents should show unreserved effort to
provide and fulfill inadequate instructional resources and facilities (teaching aids of the
subject).
