Abstract:
The main objective of this study was to investigate the challenges of handball teaching learning
Process. The study tries to see in two ways. In the first hand challenges that are not able to solve
in schools,such as period allotment, distribution of periods and plasma transmission needs an
over-view by the concerned body. On the other hand, minor problems, that is able to solve in the
school such as lack of materials, strict control of the student.To bring an awareness by stake
holder and to clarify their accountably. This study under take in selected Western Hararghe
preparatory Schools. The main issue considered the designed curriculum Handball for twelve
grade students not properly learned. The objectives that can be obtained by learning Handball
not achieved. For thisstudy Descriptive survey method research was employed. And the data
were collected from Chercher, Asebot and Gelemso preparatory schools that is out of 720
(90)using Slovin sampling method. This included the (6) sport science Teachers,(3) Directors
and (3)supervisors or Experts. The data were analyzed both quantitative and qualitative method
using percentages. The respondents sampling technique from the total population was carried
out simple random method. This study identified that poor relationship between experts and
directors,lose control of school administration, insufficient materials, period redaction,unfair
distribution of period and period allotmentsare challenges of Handball teachinglearning become
questionable. So the following Recommendations was set.school administrators, supervisors,
parents, students and subject teachers must work together. The subject teacher role is very
Decisive. This progress handball teaching learning.
