dc.description.abstract The study was designed to investigate the effect of selected physical exercises on agility, power and speed of Adama town U-17 male football project trainees, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. The Experimental research design consists of Experimental group (n =15) and Control group (n = 15) and t h e y were purposefully selected. Pretest and posttest result of agility, power and speed were taken. After pretest, 12 weeks physical exercise training was given to Adama town male soccer project trainees. Data were entered into SPSS version 25. Related sample Wilcoxon Signed Rank non parametric test was used to determine the significant difference between pretest and posttest of agility, power and speed due to physical exercise training, P< 0.5 level of significance. The result of this study showed that the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test, posttest of Experimental group Agility Test median were statistically significantly lower than Pretest of Experimental group Agility Test median at W = - 3.408, p < 0.05; posttest of Experimental group Vertical jump Test median were statistically significantly higher than Pretest of Experimental group Vertical jump Test median at W = -3.413, p < 0.05 and Posttest Experimental group 35m Run Speed Test median were statistically significantly less than Pretest of Experimental group 35m Run Speed Test median at W = -3.408, p < 0.05. Selected physical exercises are recommended to Adama town U-17 Male Football Project trainees for improving their skill related fitness components (agility, speed and power). en_US
