dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was to investigate the Ef ect of Selected Aerobic Exercise on Blood Pressure and Pulse Rate of Sport Of ice Employees of Asella Town, West Arsi Zone Oromia, Regional State, Ethiopia. The total population size of the study is 30 with age ranging between 22 and 60 years. A total sample of 30 trainers was selected from 15 experimental group and 15 also from control group using purposive sampling. Before conducting the main research a pilot study was conducted to sharpen the instrument. The design of the study is a quasi-experimental in which subjects were engaged in low to moderate intensity aerobic exercise for 12 weeks, 3 days per week and 60 minute duration at 60-80 maximum heart rates (MHR) per day from November 2020 - august 2021. The obtained mean and standard deviation values of BP between pre and post test results were 140/103±1.359 and 120/80±1.444 for Experimental group; and 140/103±1.359 and 140/103±1.359 for control group respectively. The Pulse Rate mean dif erence result and significant values were 3.76 and 0.00; and (P≤0.855) insignificant for CG, but (P<0.00) highly significant value was resulted in experimental group. The Blood Pressure means dif erence result and significant value of EG and was 20/10±6.490 and (P≤ 0.001) significant; and value of control group was no mean dif erence and (P≤0.545) was insignificant. Therefore, the finding of this was the hypertension (systolic and diastolic blood pressure >140/90 mmHg) is a major modifiable risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Elevated blood pressure levels have been shown to be a risk factor for stroke, congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, peripheral vascular disease, and end-stage renal disease (Kaerney Pm et al,. 2005). en_US
