dc.description.abstract The pineapple fruit is a component of the traditional medicine, it is also known with excellent quality, special flavor, and nutritional richness, is favored by consumers worldwide. The pineapple fruit juice contributes to healthy living, because it is good source of vitamins, phenols, organic acids and carbohydrate. The aim of this research was to conduct study on antimicrobial and antioxidant activities of endophytic fungi from pineapple fruit using isolation method. The experiment was arranged as 1x2x2 complete randomized factorial design was used to determine the antimicrobial activites using disk dif usion method and broth dilution method. The antioxidant activity was conducted based on determination of phenolic content, DPPH and hydrogen peroxide free radical scavenging activities. The results of antimicrobial and antioxidant oroperties of endophytic fungi activites tested plant pinapple fruit .The antioxidant activites was recorded 66.84 DPPH and 67.10 hydrogen peroxide free radical scavenging activit. The diameter of inhibition zone, measured based on disc dif ution, demonstrated the strongests antibacterial activity with maximumzone of inhibition of 25.93mm at the highest concentration 200mg/L,and this was recorded against Alternaria sp while theweakest antibacterial activity 17.50mm wasrecorded against Aspergillus sp1.On the other hand, the strongest antifungal activity with maximum zone of inhibition 27.60mm was recorded against peniophora sp,but the weakest antifungal activity with minimum zone of inhibition 11.93mm was recorded against Aspergillus sp1 sugesting the test plant fryit has wide range of antimicrobial activities. The pineapple fruit of study plant peel and pulp has exhibited strongest bactericidal activity with minimum inhibitory concentration MIC,37.5mg/Land the corresponding minimum bactericidal concentrationMBC,50mg/L against aspergillus while the weakest bactercidalconcentration MBC,100mgL was recorded against Aspergillus indicating that Aspergillussp1 wasthe least susceptible to the Pulp and Rind fungal has extract. On the otherhand endophytic fungalas presented strongest antifungal activity with MIC 3.10mgL, the least value and minimum fungicidal concentration MFC,3.10mm/L, against Phoma sp. Where as, the weakest antifungal activity with MIC,75mg/L and 100mg/L was recorded against Aspergillus sp. showing that Phoma sp. was the most susceptible to the fungi wile Aspergillus sp. was the least suscepti en_US
