Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the Effects of 12- weeks anaerobic and aerobic Ex ercise on student’s fitness level of harer Aboker Mesenado School. Forty (40) grade 12th Male
students free from any health problems, with age group between 18 –19 years were selected by
random sampling technique from the total population of 110 students. The selected subjects
were divided into 2 groups i.e. control (20) and experimental (20) groups and randomly each
group consisting 20 male students. The experimental group of the subjects takes exercise, three
days per week and the duration was50-60 minutes while the control group The control group did
not participate in regular exercise program but the tests were conducted for both groups. Pre test, and post tests were conducted on all variables such as the push up Test, 3 min step up Test
and 1min knee-bent set up Test each subject was tested at the same time of day. The data collect ed from subjects were analyzed by SPSS version 20 and the comparison of mean value results
was carried out by paired sample t-test. The level of significance was p<0.05. The finding of the
present study showed the push up Test, from pre to post test was showed significant change
(Mean Difference -8.57 ) in experimental group and little change (MD , -7.62) for control
group, 3min step up Test pre to post test showed significant change (MD, -2.8 ) for experi mental group and little change showed (MD,1.3) for control group and 1min knee-bent set up
Test pre to post test showed significant change(md, -5.67) for experimental group and little
change showed (MD, -3.04) for control group . So this study concluded that 12-weeks aerobic
exercise have a positive effect on improving of push up, step up and set up of grade 12th students
of harer Aboker mesenado school. Based on the above test result alternative hypothesis was ac cepted while, null hypothesis was rejected
