This study aimed to analyze the effect of Resistance training speed, agility and quickness
training program to increase in speed, agility and acceleration. This study was conducted
a 40 male football project players. In order to achieve the intended objective Experimental
design is implemented. For this study forty Misha woreda U-17 male football project
players, who had been fulfilled the hdealth history questionnaire are included as the study
sample, only experimental group are assigned randomly to the treatment condition and
followed 12- week intervention program for three days per week, 60 minutes per session.
This study used a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental method. The design of
this study used a matching-only design. Data was collected by testing 50-meter sprint
(speed), agility t-test ,zigzag run 30m (agility), and 12m shuttle run (Acceleration) during
the pretest and posttest. Furthermore, the data was analyzed using paired sample t-test
and independent t-test. The results showed: that there was a significant effect of resistance
training speed, agility and quickness training program in improving in speed, agility and
acceleration of the male football project players. Moreover, they also showed an
improvement in acceleration, pre to post major finding in the study is the significant
improvement on speed, agility and acceleration in the intervention group. This is due to
the effect of selected training program they were engaged in, and the investigator noticed
that the suggested training program has positive effect on developing and promoting the
speed, agility and acceleration of football players |
