dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to overlook the relationship between nutritional status and performance of Adama Football Club and Adama club football U-20 players. To obtain the necessary data the researcher was used both primary and secondary data. Both Adama Football Club (n =28) and Adama U-20 club players (n =28) were selected using census sampling technique. Age, height, weight, BMI, Ideal body weight, protein and carbohydrate were the variables included in this study. IBM-SPSS Statistics version 22 was used for the analyses and descriptive statistics were performed for all of the outcome measurements. Particularly mean, standard deviation, minimum, and maximum used to analyze demographic variable and assessed the significant difference between carbohydrate and protein intakes of AFC and Adama U-20 Club players. Furthermore, qualitative analysis was used to analyze the dietary nutrient intakes of AFC and Adama U-20 Club players. The result of this study showed that Adama U-20 players had lower maximum carbohydrate consumption (490 ± 42.88gram) as compared to Adama Football Club maximum carbohydrate consumption (564.20±56.20 gram). There was minimum and maximum protein consumptions difference between Adama Football Club and Adama U-20 Club player‘s. It also indicate that the daily carbohydrate and protein intake of both Adama U-20 Club player‘s and Adama Football Club players had below the minimum and maximum recommended intake for athletes. It would be recommended that Adama U-20 consume more of carbohydrate for better growth and performance. there was protein difference between Adama Football Club and Adama U-20 Club player‘s. So that it was good to be optimized and adjusted to their requirements of protein intakes of Adama U-20 Club and Adama Football Club and Adama players especially Adama U-20 Club should take more of protein nutrients for growth and development of their body. Future explanation need in order to improve carbohydrate and protein consumptions, and optimize performance of football player‘s. en_US
