Abstract:
The purpose of this study was the Management Practice of Secondary School Principals in Dukem
Town, East Shoa Zone Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia. The school principals to implement
Management Practice leadership and the major challenges that hinder the implementation of
Management Practice were assessed in the study. The study conducted in three secondary
schools. These sample schools were selected by available sampling techniques. 8 principals, 8
external supervisor and internal supervisor, as available sampling techniques Furthermore, 158
teachers were. The quantitative data were analyzed using percentage, mean and frequency
tables. The qualitative data were narrated and triangulated with the information obtained
through questionnaire and interview. There was lack of feeling of confidence, admiration, and
ready to collaborate of school leaders, limitation of spending time for teaching, coaching,
mentoring, counseling and advising. lack of motivation, lack of knowledge and skill to develop
and practice school goals, objectives and mission. Less opportunity to implement Management
Practice due to lack of school plan that have clear objectives of what can be achieved in the
future, lack of necessary skills to implement Management Practice lack of motivations and
commitments of the stakeholders, lack of sufficient budget and learning materials were the
most seriously challenges that hinders the implementation Management Practice of Secondary
School Principals in Dukem Town, East Shoa Zone Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia
