Abstract:
In this thesis we have employed covariant perturbation theory and apply it to some
quantum electrodynamics processes to calculate the transition probability and the
differential cross section for the bremsstrahlung process for a moving electron in
Coulomb potential. Using Feynman rules the transitional probability has been evaluated
explicitly. We calculated the differential cross section for the process and express it in
terms of the elastic scattering of an electron by Coulomb field. Finally we obtain the soft
bremstralung cross section in the non relativistic and extreme relativistic limit of
electron energies
