Abstract:
The study Background shown free weight Resistance training (FRT) is recommended as
part Adults’ of physical exercise guidelines to improve muscle strength, muscle
endurance and maintenance of bone density. The study employed comparative
experimental research design and random sampling techniques. The Simple random
sampling techniques were used to select subjects as well as to assign subjects for control
CG and experimental groups EG, while purposive sampling were used to select the sample
sex, age and the study place. The data were analyzed 36 male students the age range from
16-24 years sample was taken from a population of 224 male students by lottery sampling
technique. All subjects had divided randomly into 18 equal groups (n=18)(CG) and
(n=18)(EG) was implemented. EG who performed in 3 days, 12 week for 3-month free
weight resistance training and CG did not perform the selected free weight resistance
training unless both groups undergone normal physical education class program. Pretest
of two groups of 18 subject’s muscular strength was measured by 90 degree push up test.,
muscular endurance was measured through sit up test and body composition was
measured by using BMI were recorded. Consequently, after three months, post-test
measurement on the same parameters was taken, the difference between the tests were
analyzed statistically, data collected from the study subjects by using primary data
sources were analyzed using SPSS version 23 software by paired t-test to compare within
groups of pre and posttests, independent t-test to compare between groups pretest and
groups posttests at P<0.05 to determine the significant difference between initial and
final mean for participant. Based on the analyzed data the mean difference value was
boosted in 90 degree push up test performance by 7.5. In sit up 9.11 mean differences was
recorded After 12 week free weight resistances training in sit up test and in body
composition 0.4 were observed throughout the study period. The result obtained in this
study indicated that there was significant improvement in muscular strength and muscular
endurance EG, but on body composition shown only improvement EG. Based on this
finding, it can be concluded that free weight resistance training has positive effect on
improvement of selected health resistance training physical fitness components of male
students on experimental group
