dc.description.abstract This study was conducted with the objectives of Assessing Factor Affecting The Performance of Male Football Project Players:The Case of Fantale Woreda, East Showa Zone, Oromia Regional State,Ethiopia .Accordingly, Data used for the study have mainly been acquired through purposive sampling method from total population of 87 participants. Among these,81were football players whereas 6 were coaches and administration staff from the two football projects namely project 1, and project 2 Fantale football projects were included in the questionnaire from these 4 coaches were participated in interview. Mainly, descriptive (frequency distribution and percentage) method of analysis has been utilized to analyze the data collected through questionnaire and the data from interview and open ended questions were analyzed through qualitative technique. A pilot study was also conducted in order to make this study reliable and valid. The findings of the study indicated that the following major Factors were dominant in the Fantale woreda football projects: physical fitness test program for Football players 81(100 %) of respondents response No for about physical fitness test program for Football players. According to player’s response about motive to join the team 58(71.6%) of respondents were responses for recreational in their projects wereas 23(28.4 % ) responded that, join the team by the Influence of others. Based on this response the researcher analyses that majority of the players motive to join the team for recreational. most of the administration staff have negative attitude towards to male football projects, lack of budget allocation, lack of inter competition program, lack of facility and equipment, there were no project owners ,lack of sufficient football courts in the area . As a general solution to identified Factor Affecting The Performance of football projects were greater emphasis has to be given to the male football players in the area so that it could be possible to Physical fitness test programs for Football players should be trained in order to understand the current fitness level of players. Establishing and organizing football male projects in all of East shawa zone woredas could be one major strategy to address the sustainability of the major football project. en_US
