FACTOR AFFECTING SUSTAINABILITY OF FOOTBALL CLUB: THE CASE OF MEKI KENEMA FOOTBALL CLUB, MEKI TOWN,EAST SHOWA ZONE,OROMIA REGIONAL STATE,ETHIOPIA

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify Factors Affecting Sustainability of Football Club: The Case of Meki Kenema Football club. Four basic research questions were raised to achieve the objective of the study.to answer those basic research questions descriptive survey research design and primary source of data was employed. This study was conducted to put scientific and systematic way of identify the problems in sustaining football. About 50 respondents (mean of age=20.6) were selected using purposive sampling method 35 were players 3 team leaders 5 coaching staff and 7 bureau workers participated in this research processes in which they were given questionnaire and interview questions directly related to the investigation topic, and the computerized analyses were made using the SPSS analysis facilitator. The data obtained were analyzed through both quantitatively using frequency and percentage and qualitatively in simple sentence. Based on the analysis, it was found out that Among several listed problems of sustaining football club in meki Town respondents identified administrative problems (58.8%) were the first problems to be solved before all components of Sustaining football club, coaching problems(26.1%) were the second problem.The current situations of football club of meki Town from the finding above the researcher concluded that the main problem was administrative problem and recommended employing educated and experienced man power can solve the problem.
