Abstract:
The primary goal of this study was to compare the assessments on nutritional knowledge and 
dietary intake habits of Dire Dawa Police and Harar City Foot Ball Clubs, Harar and Dire 
Dawa City Administration Ethiopia, About 46 players, 5 coaches, and 2 managers were se lected, and the descriptive survey research method was employed. Primary sources such as 
questionnaires, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations were used to collect the 
necessary data. SPSS Version 22 was used for analyzing the gathered data, and descriptive 
statistics such as frequency and percentage were used for all variables. The elaborateness of 
the result was more description-based, and the finding of this research revealed that the study 
subjects or the players do not have good dietary habits. Finally, based on these findings, it 
was concluded that poor nutritional status was practiced in the selected study area. Based on 
these recommendations, any relevant bodies (Dire Dawa Police and Harar City Football 
Clubs, Harar and Dire Dawa City Administration, the Ethiopian Football Federation, and the 
Clubs) should take action to improve the nutritional status and dietary behavior of the play ers.
