Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to assess practices and challenges to implement PE
program in practical class, in Kolladiba School, Denbia Werda, It attempted to
assess the level of PE practical session implementation, identify best practices from
the implementation, investigate the major challenges that hindered the
implementation, and suggest possible solutions. To realize the purpose of the study,
descriptive survey research design was employed. The total populations of the study
were Kolladiba Schools that are found in Amhara region. This study used simple
random sampling techniques that involved 129 Students, 5 PE.T, 2 Principals and 1
Supervisors. The study used available sampling technique to select the respondents.
Percentage, frequency, mean, and grand mean, were employed as statistical tools to
analyze the data. Based on the analysis the finding indicated Shortage of material like
balls, cloths, sport equipment and shortage of playground inconvenience of the
existing sport fields were found as the highest problems. Less attention was given to
PE practice class from the administrative body, were also pointed out as the highest
problem that hampered the implement PE program in practical class. Based on the
finding, the study recommended that making school renewal project, work with
investor working cooperatively with having good and continuous communication are
important to solve the finding problems
