dc.description.abstract This study explored information needs and information seeking behavior of teachers on service delivery in selected TVET college libraries in Harari National Regional State of Ethiopia. The data were collected through survey questionnaire, interview and observation checklist. Using SPSS software version 20 descriptive and inferential statistics were generated out of the quantitative data and content analysis of the qualitative data was conducted and thematically presented with quantitative data. The finding of the study revealed that information related to the subject the TVET teachers teach was the top most needed one. The main reason for seeking information was for teaching, learning, entertaining, personal affairs, general awareness, selfupgrading and more over to be informed citizen. The TVET teachers showed similar behavior in information seeking. The teachers were not satisfied in their respective libraries service provision and the libraries were least visited. The problems related to the libraries include shortage of qualified professionals and unavailability of relevant resources. Internet was the most consulted information resource. All teachers had internet access through mobile phone, computers in their office and commercial internet cafés found in the town. This study recommended that qualified library professionals should be hired and ICT infrastructures should be improved. en_US
