dc.description.abstract Bioorganic liquid fertilizers were produced from locally available substrates like chicken manure and banana peels. It was obtained through aerobic fermentation comprises a number of growth substances, vitamins, antibiotics, amino acids and useful micro-organisms. Bioorganic liquid fertilizer increases fertility of crops and also accelerates plant maturation through improved nutrient quality. Thus, the present study was aimed to produce bioorganic liquid fertilizer from chicken manure and banana peels through aerobic fermentation in open containers. The macronutrients were determined by the Kjeldahl method consists of three steps: digestion, distillation and titration. The results were indicated that C, C:N ratio, Potassium (K), Calcium (Ca) and sodium (Na),) phosphorus (P) were found to be significantly different between bioorganic liquid fertilizer and compost tea solutions. There was no significant difference between the bioorganic liquid fertilizer and compost tea in the amount of N and Mg at p<0.05.In methodology the hydroponic growth system was used in experimental group but soil growth system was used as control group. Bioorganic liquid fertilizer being higher in mean values for most of the studied mineral plant nutrients. The bioorganic liquid fertilizer produced was evaluated by growing lettuce in hydroponic experiment system in two replications. It was found that the performance of lettuce irrigated with bioorganic fertilizer solution was performed better than compost tea solution. Growth of lettuce In hydroponic solution was shown significance differences between compost tea and bioorganic fertilizer solutions in all measured parameters including biomass weight per plant, number of leaves per plant, days of maturity and head weight per plant. this technology was used to minimize the use of chemical fertilizer which is being expensive and not environmentally friendly. Bioorganic liquid fertilizer have more positive of benefit effect on plant growth than inorganic chemical fertilizer. en_US
