dc.description.abstract This study aims to asses’ attitude of students’ toward learning physical education: the case of Burka Secondary School, Burka Town: for this study descriptive survey research design was employed. Both quantitative and qualitative data were gathered through questionnaire, interview and observation. The primary data was used for the study and the sample was drown from the total population of 1204 students accordingly 300 sample students were selected out of this 180 were male and 120 were female students all teachers and school principals were male The data was collected through administration of questionnaires and the information was analyzed SPSS version 20 software besides, frequency, percentage and descriptive Statements were used to analyze the items of the questionnaire. And interview the results were presented and discussed by categorizing some related questions. Based on the analysis it was found out the current students of grade 9th -12th ( 38.42%) were have positive attitude and the other ( 57.95% ) were have not good awareness sand mostly developed negative attitude towards learning PE at all The results researcher found that most of the Buurka secondary school students have negative attitude towards learning PE and there is lack of facility and equipments PE, teachers were not encourage students to lean PE, not manage the students not have interest to teach there is poor very low practical session, all the school principals were not give attention to PE subject the time allotted per week is not enough Finally, the study recommended that other researchers conduct a research and work on the improvement of curriculum materials especially with regard to time and periods of physical education to make it effective, the school communities, the wereda education expert has to work together to solve the problem of facilities and equipment’s implementation of PE, in the school and sport fields en_US
