dc.description.abstract This study examined role of school leaders to mobilizing educational stakeholders in minimizes student’s absenteeism in Jigjiga secondary schools. In order to realize this general objective, four basic questions were drowning. From the available two secondary schools of Jigjiga city ,300 super visors, directors, vice directors, parent teacher associations, unit leaders, head departments, home room teachers, teachers and absent students through available and random sampling method. The questionnaire data was analyzed using by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi square and correlation coefficient which belongs to descriptive statistics. The result of the study indicates that in the present, there have dissatisfaction of school leaders mobilization strategies stakeholders to minimize students absenteeism due to the released leadership style and weak administration and weak implementing the rules and regulation of the organization, and lack of check and balance of what the responsibilities of school leaders activities, teachers and all responsible workers of the organization. Weak controlling strategy of parents to their students in where they are is another effect on absenteeism. The main problem of school leaders are the overturn of position now and then. Based on the finding some recommendations were suggested. Firstly from the ministry of education should work in deep training of school leaders in how to mobilize stakeholders to minimize student’s absenteeism. So as to achieve the mobilization of stakeholder’s regional education office, woreda education office, and PTA must have strong bond so as o minimize students’ absenteeism. en_US
