The study suggest that active involvement of parent teacher student association and kebele education and training board was very crucial. The findings also indicate that Parent Teacher Student Association and Kebele Education and Training Board members not have adequate awareness about their roles and responsibilities. This was because of the fact that no sufficient training and orientation were provided to these bodies. In case of conclusion, the contribution of Parent Teacher Student Association, and Kebele Education and Training Board in management function such as preparation and implementation of school strategic and annual plans, decision making, managing discipline and monitoring and evaluation were also low. Finally, the study recommended that Woreda Education Offices, Zone Education Office and Regional Education Bureau should create a program for sharing experiences to Parent Teacher Student Association, and Kebele Education and Training Board and principals to give them a chance to learn from other schools, woredas or zones that have better performance in the participation of the community in the management of schools. |
