Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to analysis the Causes of Conflict between School Principal and Teachers and its Management Practices in Secondary School of Lare Woreda, Gambella Regional State. In the study, descriptive survey design was used. The participants of this study were 15 secondary schools‟ principals, 20 department heads, 86 teachers, 25 PTSA and 25 SRC. The study was holding a population of 171 respondents in 5 selected secondary schools in Lare Woreda by using comprehensive technique. The researcher collected the data through questionnaires, interview and document analysis. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study identified the most important causative factors of teachers‟ disciplinary problem in secondary schools of Lare Woreda: lack of parental support was the leading cause. It also includes principals‟ related causes such as lack of interest and negative attitude as well as their inabilities to perform well/satisfactory. This implies most schools principals in Lare Woreda use authoritative command while resolving conflicts in their Adapted conflict resolution techniques in the secondary schools should be revised for, so all school members would be trained on the proper ways of addressing their complaint accurately and understands how others are feeling.
